| 為紀念
國父孫中山先生之偉大人格及革命行誼並發揚其思想學
說，政府於民國五十三年開始籌建國父紀念館。除供海內外人士瞻仰
國父之用外；並兼具文化藝術教育、生活休閒及學術研究之功能。 民國 五十四年先總統 蔣公親自主持奠基典禮；翌年經公開徵圖，由名建築師王大閎所設計之圖樣獲得入選，後又遵照 蔣公之指示在外型上加強中國建築的特色而修正設計。民國六十一年五月十六日主要工程完成， 舉行落成典禮。巍峨莊嚴的建築本體，座落在綠草如茵，花木扶疏的中山公園，成為台北東區一顆璀璨的明星；也為國內的文化藝術帶來嶄新 的面貌。 國父紀念館原隸屬台北市政府，民國七十五年七月改隸教育部，並合併陽明山中山樓，機關名稱從「國父紀念館管理處」易為「國立國父紀念館」。 開館之初主要作為陳列國父革命蹟之用，並有部分展演活動；現在則 是國內具備最多功能的社教文化中心。擁有國際知名的國家演藝廳；數 千坪典雅美觀的展覽場所；設備新穎的多媒體影院、視聽中心、演講廳 、中山講堂；藏書三十餘萬冊的專業圖書館，及通性怡情的翠湖展演區 和中山公園。 國父紀念館各項活動之策劃與推動，均以宏揚 中山先生「博愛」、「天下為公」、「人生以服務為目的」之崇高理想為努力方向，俾能加深世 人對 國父之崇敬與景仰。自首任館長施俊文任職以來，即立下可觀的 基礎；復經歷任館長童啟祥、王清波、高崇雲、曾江源四位勵精圖治的 發展期；到現任館長張瑞濱的蓬勃期，館務更朝文化交流「國際化」、 「本土化」，終身教育「生活化」、「普及化」及硬體設施「專業化」、 「實用化」的目標邁進，務使中山精神與傳統文化相互結合，達成中國 文化的再出發，再發揚。 資訊來源 Taiwan.net 官方網站 國父紀念館 |
