| 忠烈祠位在圓山飯店旁，背倚青山，面臨基隆河。建於西元一九六九年，佔地廣大，主建築型式仿北京故宮太和殿，雄偉壯麗宏偉，象徵著烈士們成仁取義的大無畏精神。圍繞於忠烈祠四周的一萬餘坪的青草地，在群山的拱衛中，營造出一種清幽而肅穆的氣氛，更烘托出建築物的莊嚴。祠內供奉從中華民國成立前的革命烈士，到在抗日戰爭及國共戰爭中犧牲的三十三萬將士官兵，全都被供奉於此。歷年忠勇犧牲的烈士牌位，在大殿四面牆上，展示著英勇烈士的遺照及事蹟。每逢春秋兩季，均由國家元首率領文武百官前來致祭。訪華友邦元首及政要也都會來此獻花致敬。每年十月，忠烈祠更擠滿了海外歸國華僑的參觀團體。值得一提的是，忠烈祠大門前站崗的衛兵，個個酷似雕像，任你百般捉弄，仍是一臉嚴肅，可見訓練之嚴謹！常令聚集觀看的遊客們稱奇讚賞，而每小時衛兵交接換哨儀式，更是蔚為特色，值得一看。 衛兵儀隊交接時間 資訊來源 Taiwan.net 白天每個正點前5-10分鐘，就有很多各國觀光客在大門玄關等候。因為儀隊衛兵即將交接。 |
| The Martyr's Shrine is located near Yuanshan on Beian Rd., near the lush

architecture covers a large area of land. Inside the shrine are the numerous plaques of
martyrs as well as pictures illustrating the history of the building of our nation, a
tribute to the selflessness of these brave people. Every year, the president and many high
officials come to pay their respects in spring and autumn, and expatriates from all over
the world also visit the Shrine on the National Day (Double Tenth Day).
