| 建於民國３∼８年左右，兩條老街交會於三元宮，街屋多為二落或三落式的狹長平面店舖住宅，全由紅磚穹拱方式建築；屋簷口立有鳳凰、獅身、花卉等裝飾圖案，風味獨特。
日前經過半年整修，住宅鋪上花崗岩地板、拱型走廊結構變得紮實了、屋簷也更換新木材，層層的秩序美感，更引人流連。
湖口老街經過三年的整修工程之後，出現了輝宏牌樓拱廊景觀、完整的歷史街廓景象。大窩口工作室及湖口民俗技藝協會在此為老街湖鏡社區注入新鮮活力，從新竹聞名的風出發，有聲，有色，風鈴、花鼓為聲；服飾、花卉為色，從老街踏上彩香步道，走入糞箕窩進行闖關，天主堂是否有寶？端看參加團隊的智慧了。 資訊來源 新竹縣觀光資源 |
| Old Hukou This area was built up between 1914 and 1919.At the intersection of the two oldest streets is the Sanyuan Temple.Most of the buildings are long anf narrow with 2 or 3 stories and serve as shops/residences.All are made from red brick with arched doors and windows.The eaves of the buildings are decorated with the figures of phoenixes,lions and flowers. Old Hukou has so far undergone 6 months of restoration .Granite flooeing has been laid ,arched corridors have been strengthened and the eaves have replaces,increasing the aesthetic beauty of the area. authorship :welcome to Hsin chu county |
